Mood-Based Food Ordering App
Prototype
Problem
Users struggle to decide what to eat when they don’t know what they’re craving,
leading to long browsing
times and decision fatigue.
Approach
I explored a mood-based food discovery system to replace traditional category browsing and make
decision-making faster and more intuitive.

Design Decisions
• Introduced mood-based categories instead of cuisine filters
• Prioritised visual cues over text-heavy menus
• Reduced steps to reach checkout to minimise drop-offs
Outcome
Users were able to choose meals faster and reported lower decision fatigue.
